This Privacy Policy explains how VOIO LLC (Ukraine; "VOIO", "we") processes data of users of the voio.app website and all VOIO mobile applications for iOS, distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store:

  • Photo Translator AR Camera OCR
  • Phone Call Recorder ACR
  • Secret Calculator Photo Vault+
  • Language Translator Camera OCR
  • PDF Scanner: OCR Doc Scanning
  • Equalizer (EQ Music), and any other apps we publish under the VOIO LLC developer account

By using our apps or website you agree to this Policy. A summary of data categories for each app is also available in the "App Privacy" section of its App Store page.

1. Data we process

1.1. Data you provide

  • Support and enquiries. When you contact us via the website form or email we receive your name, email address and message.
  • In-app content. Photos, scanned documents, audio recordings, texts for translation and other materials you create while using app features (see Section 2).

1.2. Data collected automatically

  • Device identifiers, including the identifier for vendors (IDFV) and — only with your explicit consent via the App Tracking Transparency prompt — Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA).
  • Usage data: product interaction, session length, settings, device country and language, device model and iOS version.
  • Advertising data: de-identified ad impression and click metrics in free versions.
  • Diagnostics: crash reports and performance data.
  • Purchase data. We receive technical subscription/purchase status from Apple. Payments are processed solely by Apple — we never see or store your payment card details.

2. Your content in our apps

Our core principle is data minimisation: content you create is used only to deliver the feature you created it for, is never used for advertising and is never sold.

Translators and scanner (Photo Translator, Language Translator, PDF Scanner)

To perform text recognition (OCR), speech recognition and translation, images, audio or text may be transmitted to recognition/translation service providers and processed solely to fulfil your request, in de-identified form, without linking to your identity. Results are returned to the app; your documents and photos are not used for any other purpose.

Phone Call Recorder ACR

To make a recording, the app processes the phone number and — with your permission — contacts; they are required solely for the recording feature to work and are not linked to your identity. Call recordings are available only to you in the app; we do not listen to them, analyse their content or share them with third parties except where expressly required by law. You are responsible for complying with call-recording laws in your jurisdiction, including obtaining the other party's consent where required.

Secret Calculator Photo Vault+

Your vault content — photos, videos, notes, contacts, passwords — is stored locally on your device, protected by your PIN and iOS system encryption. We have no access to your vault and cannot view or recover its content.

Equalizer (EQ Music)

Audio processing (equalizer, bass booster, effects) happens entirely on your device. Music you import stays on your device — we never upload your files. Optional features process limited data:

Sign in with Apple (optional). We store an anonymous Apple user identifier and the tracks you like in our database (hosted by Supabase) so likes sync across your devices. Apple keeps your real email private (you may use Hide My Email). You can delete your account and your likes at any time in the app: Settings → Account.

Streaming catalog. Royalty-free, AI-generated tracks are streamed from our CDN (Cloudflare R2). The in-app charts run on aggregate, anonymous play counts that are not tied to your identity.

Optional cloud imports. Equalizer (published on the App Store as "EQ Music") can import your own audio from Google Drive, Dropbox or a WebDAV server. The app connects directly from your device using credentials you authorise; it only downloads the files you pick and never sees or stores your cloud credentials or browses anything beyond what you select.

Google user data — Limited Use (Equalizer / EQ Music)

When you connect Google Drive, Equalizer requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly scope for one purpose only: to list the audio files in your Drive and download the specific files you choose to import, so they can play through the equalizer on your device.

  • Drive file names and the files you import are processed on your device only; imported audio is stored locally in your library.
  • Your Drive data is never sent to our servers, never stored by us, and never shared with any third party.
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
  • We do not allow humans to read your Drive data, and we do not use it to train generalised or AI models.
  • You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or by signing out in the app.

Equalizer's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Dropbox. When you connect Dropbox, the app uses read-only access (files.metadata.read, files.content.read) solely to list and download the audio files you choose to import. The same on-device-only handling applies: nothing is sent to our servers, shared, or used for advertising.

3. Advertising and tracking (App Tracking Transparency)

Free versions of our apps are ad-supported. Advertising partners may use the advertising identifier (IDFA) to personalise ads only if you consent via the App Tracking Transparency system prompt. If you decline, non-personalised ads are shown instead.

You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone. Purchasing a premium subscription removes ads entirely.

4. Purposes of processing

  • providing and maintaining app and website features;
  • activating premium features according to your subscription;
  • usage analytics to improve our products;
  • serving ads in free versions and measuring their effectiveness;
  • marketing our own products (measuring our ad campaigns);
  • crash detection, security and abuse prevention;
  • responding to enquiries and meeting legal obligations.

5. Legal bases (GDPR)

  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — tracking for personalised advertising (ATT), optional permissions;
  • Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — providing app features, servicing subscriptions, handling requests;
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — analytics, non-personalised ads, security, fraud prevention, product improvement.

6. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. Data may be shared only with:

  • Apple — app distribution, payments and subscriptions;
  • Analytics and crash-reporting providers — to understand app usage and fix bugs;
  • Advertising networks — to serve ads in free versions (personalised only with ATT consent);
  • Recognition and translation service providers — solely to fulfil your OCR/translation requests;
  • Infrastructure providers — website and app-backend hosting (including Supabase and Cloudflare) and email;
  • Public authorities — only where required by law.

All providers act on our instructions under data processing agreements. A current list of partners is available on request by email.

7. International transfers

Our providers may process data on servers outside your country, including the US and the EU. For transfers from the EEA we rely on European Commission adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

8. Retention

  • In-app content (recordings, vault photos, scans) — controlled by you: kept until you delete it or uninstall the app;
  • Materials submitted for recognition/translation — processed only as long as needed to fulfil the request and not stored longer;
  • Analytics and diagnostics — in de-identified or aggregated form for up to 24 months;
  • Support enquiries — up to 24 months after the enquiry is closed;
  • longer only where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

9. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to: access your data and obtain a copy; rectification; erasure ("right to be forgotten"); restriction of processing; data portability; objection; withdrawal of consent at any time; and lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the EU — your national data protection authority).

To exercise your rights, email softwarevoio@gmail.com — we respond within 30 days.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell personal information for money. Passing identifiers to advertising partners for cross-context behavioural advertising may qualify as "sharing" under the CPRA — you can opt out by denying tracking in the ATT prompt (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking) or by contacting us. You also have rights to access, deletion and non-discrimination.

10. Security

We apply technical and organisational safeguards: TLS encryption in transit, iOS system encryption for local data, and need-to-know access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we continuously improve our protections.

11. Children

Our apps and website are not directed at children under 13 (16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. The voio.app website

The website uses no advertising or analytics cookies. The contact form transmits only the name, email and message you provide. Our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (IP address, request time) for operation and security.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with the last-updated date above. We will announce material changes in the apps or on the website.
