Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and VOIO LLC (Ukraine; "VOIO", "we") governing your use of the voio.app website and all VOIO iOS applications distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store: Photo Translator AR Camera OCR, Phone Call Recorder ACR, Secret Calculator Photo Vault+, Language Translator Camera OCR, PDF Scanner: OCR Doc Scanning, Equalizer, and any other apps we publish under the VOIO LLC developer account (together, the "Services").

By installing an app or using the Services you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. App license

Apps are licensed, not sold. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the apps for personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Usage Rules set out in the Apple Media Services Terms.

You may not: copy, modify, distribute or sell the apps; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble them (except as expressly permitted by law); circumvent technical restrictions; or use the apps to build competing products.

2. Purchases, subscriptions and free trials

Some features are available via one-time purchases or auto-renewable subscriptions. All payments are processed solely by Apple through your Apple ID; prices are displayed in the App Store before purchase in your local currency.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours prior to the start of the new period.
Cancellation. Manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal anytime in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Free trials. Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. After the trial ends, the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Price changes. Apple will notify you of subscription price changes in advance; changes take effect from the next renewal.
Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under its rules: reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no technical ability to refund App Store payments ourselves.

3. Free versions and advertising

Free versions of the apps may include advertising and feature limits. See the Privacy Policy for details on ads and tracking. A premium subscription removes ads.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and not to:

violate applicable law or the rights of others;
record phone calls without complying with the laws of your jurisdiction (including obtaining the other party's consent where required). You are solely responsible for the legality of your recordings;
store or process unlawful content using the Services;
translate, scan or recognise materials in violation of their owners' intellectual property rights;
interfere with the operation of the Services, servers or networks, or gain unauthorised access.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to content you create or process in the apps (recordings, photos, scans, translations). You grant us only the technically necessary license to process that content solely to provide the relevant feature, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are fully responsible for your content and the consequences of using it.

We recommend regular device backups: we are not liable for loss of locally stored content (including after app deletion, device loss, or a forgotten vault PIN).

6. Intellectual property

All rights to the Services, their code, design, trademarks, logos and content (other than your content) belong to VOIO or the respective rights holders and are protected by intellectual property laws.

7. Third-party services

The Services may rely on third-party services (recognition, translation, advertising, analytics) and may contain links to third-party resources. We do not control third-party resources and are not responsible for their content or policies.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent permitted by law — including uninterrupted or error-free operation and fitness for a particular purpose. Recognition, translation and recording quality depends on many factors (image or network quality, language, device) and is not guaranteed. Translations are generated automatically and may contain errors — do not rely on them where a mistake could cause harm.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, VOIO is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of data, profit or goodwill arising from the use of or inability to use the Services. VOIO's aggregate liability for any claims is limited to the amount you paid for the Services during the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law or reduces your statutory consumer rights.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify VOIO for losses caused by your breach of these Terms or unlawful use of the Services, including reasonable legal costs.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time by deleting the app (remember to cancel any subscription separately). We may suspend or terminate access to the Services in case of a material breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (content rights, limitation of liability, governing law) remain in effect.

12. Changes to the Services and Terms

We may change, update or discontinue the Services or individual features, and may update these Terms. The current version is always available on this page with the last-updated date; we will announce material changes in the apps or on the website. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Apple-specific terms

For apps downloaded from the App Store, the following also applies:

these Terms are concluded between you and VOIO, not Apple; Apple is not responsible for the apps or their content;
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the apps — support is provided by us (see Support);
in the event of an app's failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any remaining warranty obligations rest with VOIO under these Terms;
claims relating to the app (product liability, failure to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection) are addressed to VOIO, not Apple;
in case of third-party claims that the app infringes their intellectual property rights, VOIO — not Apple — is responsible;
you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any prohibited or restricted parties list;
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be resolved through negotiations and, failing that, by a competent court in accordance with Ukrainian law. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also benefit from the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

15. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement regarding the Services. We may assign our rights under these Terms in connection with a reorganisation or sale of the business; you may not assign yours without our consent.
